hello everyone noone helps yet on here but its cool im still a little new still haveing problems finding a local job. I dont know if I should go otr or just wait. My family is young my youngest is two and a half. I dont want to miss much yet I will go otr later in my career but im stuck now. Its been almost a month with no work can someone help figure this out for me I some input please and thank you.

Go otr you must put your time in way before you get a local gig. If you had a problem being away from your family you should have never got your license. I do know how you feel, I have 5 kids at the house from ages 8 to 1. It gets easier being away and use technology. Computers with web cams are GREAT for seeing the kiddies. ( and the wife when kiddies are sleeping.) If you have good support at home you will be fine untill you can get that local gig. Gook luck

thnk you very much for your replay. I know about the home life but i thought i can get a local gig i might go with werner for awhile. I have alot of support at home so thats fine thank god but im going to put in with tmc or werner so thank you again and be careful out there.

No problem. i would try my best to stay away from tmc. i know a few guys that ran for them and they just got ran off. plus this time of year is very slow for flatbeds. thats what i had always done and went broke pretty fast. now i am running a refer and cant seem to get a day off.

have you ever heard of anything about cr england. They might call on me i need anything right now ill take it you know what i mean. thanx again for your post

I personally dont know anything about cr. If it gets you in a truck it may be worth a shot. Stay away from the lease purchase. Even if it is a good program, i would not do it as a new driver and they may try to push you on it.

thanx again thats all i want is to get into a truck and drive. But it is so hard for some reason im hating it having a cdl and working it sux ass

There has always been a bigger demand for OTR drivers than local, I would do the OTR gig untill I could find something local.Looking while your working is better than starving. Good luck and God Bless.
