My Dad runs OTR for Averitt. Damn good company.

I drove for Averitt for a year before moving to Montana. Outstanding company. Very professional. I read a couple of post on "Rip-off.com" from a couple of drivers who were upset because they thought the company was "too" professional. I guess it had something to do with having to wear uniforms, not being able to take truck home, taking showers and getting fuel at their terminals instead of truck stops. Me being a private person, I liked not having to deal with truck stops and being able to pull into a quite, secure terminal for the night.

I've seen the terminal at Kennesaw, Georgia a few times dropping partial Trane a/c loads there for Hogan. I'm not terribly impressed with the driver facilities there, but otherwise, everything I've seen of Averitt is very positive. Their equipment is top notch and you can wash your own truck at the terminal IN A WASH BAY. Just try that at any Hogan terminal. And they're another company smart enough to have gone to autoshifts. The money they save is the reason they can afford to have their bathrooms cleaned. Seen a Swift or Arrow bathroom lately?
