most of your problem will be in wyoming. they have already had some shutdowns this year and it wont get better dec and jan. there is possibilities of getting stuck at a truckstop for several days. also pack yourself a winter kit. blankets, flashlight, triangles, flares, warm clothes, candles and plenty of matches. tealight candles are great for the price.
i dont know your level of exp but ive seen drivers more seasoned than me wreck in bad weather. you dont really want to think about something like that happening but it happens all the time so definately plan for it so your not caught off guard.
there are other spots along I-80 that really suck but just take it slow and know your ability. if you arent used to driving in snow, its very exhausting. dont try to pull all nighters. fatigue is a huge reason for accidents and in snow that can be very deadly.
