I'm interested in trucks and I have a few questions I'd like to ask. I tried Googling most of these but I couldn't get reasonable answers or at least answers that I understand
Here are my questions:
-I'm interested in the Volvo VNL670 series. I know the FH12 420 is popular in Europe and I wanted to know the difference. The VNL has the Cummins engine and the FH12 has the D12 engine, the Cummins is 465 HP and D12 is 420 HP, is there any other major differences?
-Do you add the RA and FA capacity of a truck to determine its hauling capability or is it GVW? How is it determined? Is the VNL able to haul more/less then the FH12?
-Mileage, I found Volvo VNL670 trucks with 600+K miles. Is it worth it to spend my money on them with that many miles (Thats all I can offord, I'm 25 with ambition
)? I know Cummins engines are good for 1 million miles but should I ask if the Engine has been overhauled at any point in its lifetime? Should I look for trucks with less then 400K miles?-What are the transmissions for the FH12 and VNL670, which one is better and why?
